Aloo or Potato Bhajiya is famous snack time recipe for most of the people. Potato is the super talented and multipurpose ingredient with which you can make number of recipes. Aloo bhajiya is simple and tasty and I oftenly make them when its raining, the rain and bhajiya combo never fails to satisfy my heart and stomach!
Ingredients:
- Potato, 2 big (preferably round)
- Gram flour/besan, 1/2 cup (125gms)
- Red chilli powder, 1/2 tspn
- Cumin seeds, 1/2 tspn
- Turmeric powder, 1/4 tspn
- Salt, 1/2 tspn
- Coriander leaves, finely chopped, 2 tblspn
- Oil, to fry

Recipe:
- Wash and peel potatoes.
- Cut them into rounds, not too thick or too thin.
- Wash them again and keep aside to drain all its water.
- Meanwhile, take a bowl, add besan.
- Add turmeric, cumin seeds,red chilli powder and salt.
- Add little water at a time and make medium thick flowy batter.
- Keep it covered for 10-15 mins.
- After that add chopped coriander. Mix well.
- Heat oil in a wok.
- Take potato rounds and dip this into the batter and slide this into oil when its hot, one by one.
- Make sure to slide it from sides, and dont add it in the middle to prevent oil from splattering. This thing you should always remember while frying anything.
- Fry them till they are golden, don't brown them or burn them.
- Take out on a paper to remove excess oil and serve hot with Green Chutney!
