Chicken Seekh Kababs (Delicious & Mouthwatering)


We all must have eaten seekh kababs in restaurants or at some wedding, the delicious and aromatic dish which finds its origin in Lucknow has become popular all over India and in abroad too. Well, those who dont eat mutton or beef don't have to sacrifice,  or who prefer chicken over mutton, the chicken version of seekh kabab is here to make you go yummm!!!
So let's get started with the simple & easy to make recipe! Chicken Seekh Kababs...


Well, My family really loves it, and asks me to make it oftenly. 😊

Ingredients:
Boneless Chicken Pieces, 1/2 Kg
Onions golden browned, pasted, 1/2 cup
Ginger-garlic paste, 1 1/2 tspn
Green chillies, 2
Red chilli powder, 1/2 tspn
Coriander powder, 1/2 tspn
Cumin powder, 1 tspn
Garam Masala Powder, 1/2 tspn
Lemon Juice, 1/2 cup
Skewers, 4-6
Coriander leaves, 1/2 cup
Bread crumbs, 1 tblspn ( for binding, you can use gram flour too)
Oil, 3 tspn
Salt, according to your taste

RECIPE:
  • Firstly, wash chicken pieces thoroughly, drain all the water.
  • Mix green chillies, few coriander leaves, half of lemon juice, ginger-gralic paste with the chicken. Grind them all together.
  • Take it out in a bowl and add powdered spices, i.e red chilli powder, salt, coriander powder, cumin powder, mix well.
  • Add onion paste, oil, and bind it with the bread crumbs. Mix tem all well.
  • Ignite a sigdi, or you can microwave them in the oven.



  • Take a skewer and take small portion of seekh mixture.
  • Put it in the skewers, close both its ends by pressing with your fingers.
  • Make sure, it should be evenly put in the skewers from all sides or it will fall off while turning it over.
  • Grill them on your sigdi or barbeque, or or on grilled pan, turning it over frequently.
  • Apply lemon juice.
  • Take out when its done, serve it with fresh coriander mint chutney.
  • Enjoy!!!


Notes:
  • Use fresh chicken.
  • Dont over grill the kababs since it should be juicy from inside. If you overdo it, it will feel dry in your mouth.
  • You can make the same recipe with mutton, replacing chicken😊
