Kadi Patta (Curry Leaves) Chutney


Curry leaves chutney or Kadi Patta chutney as its called in local language is really different in taste and goes well with Dosa, and other snack items. Curry leaves are beneficial for diabetic and BP patients and many people use this as a medicine!


Ingredients:

  • Curry leaves, 1 bowl
  • Peanuts, 2-3 tblspn
  • Green chillies, 2-3
  • Ginger, 1" pieces, 2-3
  • Garlic cloves, 4-5
  • Lemon juice, 1 tblspn
  • Salt, to taste
  • For tempering:
  • Oil, 2 tbslpn
  • Mustard seeds, 1/2 tspn

Recipe:
  • Wash curry leaves, ginger.
  • In a mixie jar, add curry leaves, Ginger-garlic, peanuts, green chillies, salt.
  • Grind it to a paste, adding very water. Add lemon juice.
  • In a small pan, add oil.
  • When its hot, add mustard seeds.
  • Pour this tempering to the chutney.
  • Store chutney in a clean jar in the refrigerator for 3-4 days and serve with snacks!
